You are designing a product and need a drive that fits the envelope, the duty cycle and the unit cost. We size the motor, gearbox, encoder and controller with the manufacturer, from prototype through to series build.
You are building a machine, a control panel or an installation to a fixed specification. We match drives, actuators and controllers to the mechanism you have already designed, and to the standard it has to meet.
You run gates, barriers, ventilation or access points that cannot fail. We specify hardware rated for the cycle count and the conditions, and we handle the warranty claim locally.

Planetary, spur, worm, spindle and right-angle gearboxes matched to the motor at the factory.
Speed controllers, positioning controllers, programmable motion controllers and magnetic, optical and inductive encoders.
Linear, chain, rack and spindle actuators from 90 N to 100 000 N. Window actuators for smoke and heat exhaust ventilation. Industrial heavy-dtuy linear actuators.
Tubular motors for roller shutters, awnings and screens, venetian blind drives, rolling door drives and lifting columns. Plus automotive electric motors.
Vehicle barriers, toll booms, AFC fare gates, full-height turnstiles, ticketing terminals, pedestrian gates, access control for public transport, airport security gates and building access control.

How we work
From first enquiry to ongoing supply. Four steps, and the first one is the one that matters.
You tell us what has to move. We ask about load, speed, torque, duty cycle, operating environment, control method, safety standards and expected lifecycle before we recommend anything.
We recommend the best solution for your application, matching the motor, gearbox, encoder, controller and protection class to your exact requirements. Where customisation is needed, we work with our manufacturing partners to configure the ideal solution.
The order goes to the factory as a standard catalogue item or as a configured-to-order build. We coordinate with our partners until final delivery.
Spare parts, technical support and warranty handling. DNH opens the claim, routes it, and follows it through, so you are not dealing with an offshore returns desk on your own.

DNH has specified and supplied these components from Johannesburg since 1990. We supplied the access control gate hardware for South Africa's rapid rail network, and for national toll road concessions. Those are environments where a failure is expensive and the downtime is public. That is the standard we specify to. The same components run in mine ventilation control panels, skylight and roof window installations, switchgear assemblies, powered wheelchairs and last-mile electric vehicles across Southern Africa.
